While many people consider Friday the 13th to be an unlucky day, the Mill River BNI Chapter in Easthampton, Massachusetts hit a milestone they have been pursuing for the last 18 months. During that time, the Mill River Chapter has increased in size from 17 Members to 30 Members.
"The effort that everyone has put into this has been inspiring." says Jason Turcotte, Chapter President and owner of Turcotte Data & Design, as website design company. "Our Members decided that they wanted to be more successful in BNI and through education from our Executive Director Tim Roberts as well as the Chapter's Educational Coordinator, Mark NeJame have reached the level of 30 Members. NeJame, whos profession is Real Estate Law at his firm NeJame & Kling, has been working with Turcotte and Roberts in showing the value of a larger Chapter. "As more people join the Chapter, our overall network increases. We have access to more people, which logically leads to us being able to pass and receive more referrals." said Turcotte.
But the group is not done yet. "In October of 2010 our Chapter set a goal of 40 Members by October of 2011. I have to admit that I thought it was going to be quite the challenge. That was a really big gain from our level of 20 or so at the time." Turcotte explained. However, through some successful Visitor Day events and focused efforts on everyone's part, here they are with only 10 new Memebrs to go to hit their goal.
During the time period of October 2010 through March 2011 the Mill River Chapter was responsible for passing over $98,000 in business referrals to their Members.
If your business would like to experience one of the best BNI Chapters in Western Massachusetts, visit them and see what the success is all about.
